Review: The Judean Massacre - The Human Condition EP

The Human Condition by The Judean Massacre is truly a great effort through different influences and versatile composition elements. To the first listen of this EP you’ll get slighty confused about the fact that whether Nergal (Behemoth) has done session recording with them!!

The EP starts with an intro named Untitled. It starts in the Sahara Desert.  The Arabic scales used in the intro doesn’t quite match with the rainfall sound, but let it be. The Arabic acoustic solos sound awesome!
Then it’ll take you to Enthronment. A promising track apart from a shaky intro. But the versatile composition talent is considerably noticed with the Arabic and Chromatic Scale guitar works with Fast double pedal works.

Then Dominion, a track with average composition elements.but the most interesting thing you’ll notice about the track is the solo in the middle. It’s one of the OUT OF THE WORLD tones you’ve ever heard. It will create a new dimension of music in your mind.

You’ll be awakened by the Awakening, one of the best tracks of this EP. it’s a total package of Epic elements , starting from the vocals’ versatile voice styles, required drums and pounding, epic guitar notes and that atmosphere created by these musicians.

Eugenics is a track full of brutality. The guitar works are comprehensively great. The drums breaks are so perfect that it’ll surely stun you for a moment. It’s also one of the best tracks of this EP.

The Human Condition  has a melodic flavor to it. And the atmosphere in some parts which are created by the guitars (specially the acoustic part) are the cause of my goosebumps!

Omerta most probably the best track of the EP will blow you off with a diminished Symphony. And at the moment it starts after a break, you’ll feel revived from death. The true talent of this band is noticed in each and every sector here. Superb guitar works, sensible drumming, soothing bass and a great vocal.

The last but not least Kingdom takes you to the highest peak of a mountain with its’ mind blowing acoustic intro. And then pushes you downfall with highest level of brutality. The drum work is sensible as usual, Fast pounding where needed , and superb double bass works are noticed. The sudden breaks make you feel that you are on stoppage to your destination hell. The guitars create an unearthly atmosphere of your perish and finally there you are. Fading away!!

The fast pounding drums with some diminish scale riffs and some sudden breaks will surely remind you off Behemoth especially in the song Omerta (not a comparison though). And some atmospheric leads being blended with that brings out the Keep Of Kalessin influence. The guitar works are quite versatile and has been more enlightened with the promising drums pattern. The bass was typically soothing. The EP has more or less everything for the black/death metal fans. If someone seeks for a melodic/symphonic flavor, tracks like The Human Condition, Omerta are there. And to seek the bands true talent one might listen to the tracks like Eugenics, Omerta, Kingdom. Overall an EP worth listening to. A short and perfect timing of 26 minutes will never ever get you bored. The production is neither too cheesy nor raw. I Will be looking forward to listen to these beasts from UK waiting for their upcoming releases.

Tracks to listen :Awakening Omerta, Dominion, Kingdom.
