India Goes Rawrr Vol I

Hey people, I have been throwing around the idea of putting together a CD/online compilation of cover tunes, which will be a fantastic opportunity for Indian bands to have their music hand delivered to fans and the people world wide.

The basic concept of the compilation is, bands covering many hit songs in their own special way; a collection of songs by various bands performing covers of POP songs.

The title of the compilation is "India Goes Rawrr" and the main goals are to compile Indian bands of the more aggressive metal sub genres and present them in one unit. Secondly, to help Indian Bands to get more of International audience. This is how it works, a cover song gets you noticed and make your band’s name familiar to them. And later if they like the cover, they may then want to listen to more of your original compositions too. Simple as that!
I’ve seen how well and successful, Fearless Records has been doing their “Punk Goes Pop” series and I think it’s our time to take the step!

Let’s be part of this great Compilation as a celebration of Indian musicians creating Metal music.

Quick and Long Note- Today, there are over thousands of covers of popular pop/rap songs covered in their own styles by many amazing unsigned bands out there. And this has become a trend for bands that are trying to get there into the mainstream music industry. And you know what? It actually helps! I still remember of how American Metalcore band WOE IS ME boosts their fan base when they initially covered Kesha’s hit ‘TIK TOK” in 2011. The same year the Artery Foundation took notice of them. Rise Records, along with their imprint labels, Velocity records, signed ‘Woe, Is me’ before even playing their first show! And honestly that’s how I fell in love with the band. And yeah Metallica also started as a cover band.
