Paper Sky from Dimapur and Technicolours from Kohima have been selected to contest along with the other national and international bands at the upcoming Hornbill International Rock Festival this fall. The Audition for Local bands( Nagaland) was held yesterday at the Regional Centre Of Excellence For Music and Performing Arts, Jotsoma, Kohima. Screening of the bands at the audition was judged by prominent Naga Musicians such as Andrew Murry, Thejove Medeo and Abemo Enni.
This year's edition of HIRC will witness British Rockers Smokie and renowned Guitar God Vinnie Moore from America. Hornbill International Rock Contest remains the highest paying Rock Music contest in the continent with the following money prizes.
1st Prize- Rs. 1000000
2nd Prize- Rs. 500000
3rd Prize- Rs. 300000
and Rs 50000 each for individual prizes.
